Meet the Minds Behind Xai Robotics
Where Silicon Valley Expertise Meets Real-World Learning

Why We Built Xai Robotics
We didn’t just build Xai Robotics because we love technology (although we do). We built it because we believe every curious child deserves a chance to learn the skills that shape the future—from the very people who built that future.
Between the two of us, we’ve worked on nuclear reactors, satellites orbiting Earth, and the technology that powers billions of devices. But nothing we’ve built matters more than creating a space where kids can tinker, code, fail, try again, and discover they’re capable of far more than they imagined.
We built Xai Robotics for our own kids—and yours. Whether your child dreams of becoming a tech pioneer or just loves figuring out how things work, we’re here to guide them every step of the way.
Welcome to Xai Robotics,
Isai & Annelise

Isai Damier — CEO & Lead Engineer
Bio
Engineer, Explorer, Mentor, Parent—Building the Future, One Xaiborg at a Time
Before he was building a world-class robotics lab for teens in Parkland, Isai was solving problems that most people will never even know exist. He started his career designing and wiring control systems for nuclear reactors at the largest nuclear power sites in America, where the smallest mistake could mean the difference between precision and catastrophe. From there, he moved to aerospace, building software that communicates with satellites orbiting Earth right now, gathering data that shapes global intelligence. Then came Google, where Isai joined a team working on the very backbone of Android—the operating system that powers over 3 billion devices around the world. If you’ve ever unlocked your phone with your face or fingerprint, paid for something using Google Pay, or watched a movie on Android TV, you’ve touched Isai’s work. While at Google, Meta called, asking Isai to help shape the future of the Metaverse, designing the systems that fuse augmented reality, virtual reality, and next-gen mobile experiences into a seamless digital world. But the thread that connects all these accomplishments is simple: Isai doesn’t just build technology—he builds the future. And now, as a parent and visionary, he’s bringing that future home to the next generation through Xai Robotics.
Fun Fact
Some of Xai Robotics’ first sketches were drawn on napkins at Google’s cafes—while Isai rocked his newborn son to sleep between meetings. Xai Robotics isn’t just a company—it’s a love letter to every kid who dreams of building something extraordinary, and to every parent who wants their child to learn directly from the people who have actually built the world they live in. Isai believes curiosity is the only prerequisite—and it’s our job to turn that curiosity into great skills and confidence.
Annelise Joseph — Co-Founder & Chief Experience Officer
Bio
Startup Insider, STEM Educator, Design Perfectionist—and Every Parent’s Secret Weapon
Annelise doesn’t just teach STEM—she’s helped build and launch startups from the inside, designing products and experiences for companies that thrived in the crucible of Silicon Valley. With over a decade of hands-on startup experience—including founding, advising, and shipping products—her instincts for innovation were sharpened alongside some of the most iconic founders of her generation (her circle includes Elon Musk’s roommates). As a front-end developer with a relentless eye for detail, she’s a force behind Xai Robotics’ polished curriculum, immersive learning experience, and student journey.
But her greatest talent? Making complex engineering feel playful, personal, and irresistible. Students love her because she expects greatness and helps them find it, teaching with the perfect balance of high standards and deep care. Under Annelise’s guidance, students don’t just learn to code—they learn to think boldly and believe in their own brilliance.
Fun Fact
When her firstborn was just 6 months old, Annelise bought him his first Mac Pro—a machine so big it literally towered over him. By age two, she had already taught him to read and write (more clearly than he could pronounce the words). Call her a tiger mom if you want—but she’s a nurturing, joyful, endlessly curious tiger mom who knows how to unlock genius in every child, not just her own.
Gaurav Desai (Google X & Google AI) — Advisor
Bio
With over 20 years at the forefront of AI, energy innovation, and large-scale infrastructure, Gaurav has built and led groundbreaking teams at Google AI, Google X, and Google Research. From advancing machine learning in natural language processing to pioneering a moonshot for the electric grid, his work has shaped some of the world’s most ambitious tech initiatives.
At Xai Robotics, Gaurav brings his visionary expertise to inspire and equip the next generation of engineers. His passion for mentorship, innovation, and solving real-world challenges aligns perfectly with our mission—to empower young minds with the tools and mindset to build the future.
Fun Fact
At Google’s Mountain View headquarters, Gaurav and Isai were part of a tight crew of about eight Googlers who hit the gym together every weekday at exactly 4PM. The crew got so close, they started planning lunch adventures across Google’s legendary cafes—and even turned Google’s pop-up wine tastings into their own mini-tradition. Those gym sessions, lunches, and wine tastings built a bond that time and distance couldn’t break.
Dirk Dougherty (Platforms & Ecosystems @ Google) — Advisor
Bio
For nearly two decades, Dirk Dougherty has been a driving force behind Google’s most ambitious developer initiatives, shaping ecosystems that accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. His work has empowered engineers worldwide to turn bold ideas into scalable breakthroughs, fundamentally shifting how industries evolve. Now, he brings that same expertise to Xai Robotics, instilling the principles, strategies, and technical rigor that define the world’s most dominant tech forces. With Dirk’s insight, Xai Robotics isn’t just preparing future innovators—we’re engineering a new standard for what’s possible.
Fun Facts
Dirk was the first Googler Isai ever ate lunch with—on Isai’s very first interview day. But that quick lunch turned into a friendship that never ended. Even after Isai moved to Florida, Dirk and Isai kept their regular coffee chats going, proving that the best work friendships don’t stop when situations change—they just evolve.
Our Mission & Philosophy
Empowering Future Innovators Through Hands-On Learning
At Xai Robotics, our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional education and real-world engineering. We are committed to fostering an environment where curiosity leads to innovation, and every student is equipped with the skills to shape the future.
Our Core Principles:
-
Experience-Based Learning: From day one, students engage in building robots, designing custom parts, and coding with professional-grade tools. This hands-on approach ensures they gain practical skills that extend beyond the classroom.
-
Expert Mentorship: Guided by industry veterans from top tech companies like Google and Meta, our students receive personalized mentorship. This guidance allows them to progress at their own pace, mastering complex challenges and building confidence.
-
Real-World Skills Development: Our curriculum encompasses a wide range of competencies—from CAD and 3D printing to programming and AI integration. These skills prepare students for high-tech careers and higher education in STEM fields.
Our Educational Philosophy:
We believe that true learning occurs when students are challenged and supported simultaneously. By providing access to industry-standard tools and fostering a culture of innovation, we inspire students to think critically and creatively. Our goal is to nurture not just engineers, but thinkers and leaders who will drive technological advancement.
